I am happy to travel throughout Europe and farther for longer dates. A weekend can be entirely ours. Weekday travel works differently: because I keep US working hours, it must include reliable Wi-Fi and a separate private room where I can work undisturbed.

A weekend away

No work schedule to plan around. Best for overnights, 24-hour dates, and trips where we want the whole day.

A trip during the week

We can spend mornings and local daytime together. During my US work hours, I need a separate room and reliable Wi-Fi.

Practicalities

What I need for travel.

Within Europe: First-class rail or the most sensible direct flight. A minimum of six hours applies outside Berlin.
Long haul: Business-class flights, discreet accommodation, and an overnight minimum.
Reservation: A 40% reservation and transport arranged in advance for travel and dates of six hours or more.
Planning: The more notice, the better. Once screening and travel are arranged, we can be flexible.

A note on elsewhere

Take me somewhere you are excited to show me.

I am equally happy in a beautiful hotel, wandering through a city, or somewhere remote enough that conversation can pause for a while. I appreciate a thoughtful plan, with enough flexibility to follow a better idea if one appears.
